Every item I sell is made by made be me, from start to finish.

Katrina has been designing creations since she was a child herself. (Her first project was handsewing clothes for her little sister's My Little Ponies!) She has a passion for helping families simplify childhood. Overwhelmed with the mountain of broken plastic junk that her own children accumulated, she realized that she was not alone. Moms told her how they want their children's play spaces to be beautiful. They want quality toys. They want safe toys. They do not want more clutter. Gifts need to become special memories, not eyesores!

With this in mind, Katrina sews every Potato Blossom Studio creation with love, mindful of beauty and quality. I treasure the hours I spend intricately free-motion quilting hundreds of yards of fabric each year.

Today, I create beautiful quilted purses for the littlest of girls. They are made just as I make each of my quilts, with detailed quilting and a hand-stitched binding. One of my customers just made my heart sing with this review: "My 19-month old daughter is in LOVE with her little purse. She carries it around all day over her forearm (little ladybird that she is) adding various treasures as she goes. The first night she slept with it under her head, I finally managed to slide it out around midnight. And as soon as she woke up she was pointing at it on her shelf. We are so pleased with this!"

Pretend play is an essential part of childhood. My doll sleeping bags and doll quilts help children to learn the art of nurturing. From simple flat fold cotton sleeping bags to custom quilted ones, I can help your child's doll have a restful night's sleep. I have even designed bags for dinosaur plushies and 36 inch dolls.

For 2016, I am focusing on bringing more beautiful toddler and nursery quilts into my shop, as they sold as fast I could make them last year. New to my studio, wonderful organic cotton prints have arrived. I am so excited to start working with organic fabrics this year.
